Cleveland Division 4,000m Pursuit Championship

Stockton Wheeler clinches title No. 2

NATIONAL junior pursuit silver medallist, Stockton Wheeler Paul Curran, took his second senior Cleveland divisional track title of the season at Clairville on Wednesday evening.

In the final of the 4,000 meter pursuit championship he produced a 5min 46sec ride in windy conditions to beat Hambleton RC's Peter Stevenson.

Thornaby CRT-Been Bag's Dave Thompson took the bronze medal in the run-off for third place against his much below par clubmate, Stuart Morris.
