Walsham wins Premier series

ALTHOUGH Mark Walsham (Gill Airways-Peugeot) gained only one point when he struggled to finish 20th in Sunday's Tour of the Peak, his unassailable points lead in the 15-event Premier Calendar series meant he could not be beaten for the overall title.

Last year's winner, team-mate John Tanner, finished second.
