PAUL CURRAN'S long search for a sponsor ended at the weekend when he was signed by the Crown Printers Engineers-Chafes-Diavolo team.
National criterium champion Curran joins Mark Walsham, Jon Walshaw, Simon Cope and Stephen Shaw to bring the team's strength to five.
At least one other rider will be taken on before the home professional calendar starts in April with the March Hare meeting at East London's Eastway Cycle Circuit.
'Curran will lead our challenge in races like the Milk Race and Kellogg's Tour of Britain,' said team manager George Shaw.
'Walsham won a stage in last year's Milk Race and Walshaw won the prologue while Curran was seventh overall,' he added.
Ex-double Commonwealth champion Curran, who turned professional with the Percy Bilton team last season was left without a sponsor when the Bilton team folded at the end of 1989.
