Peugeot Trophy Two-Up '25'

No stopping Curran-Longbottom

Manchester Wheelers internationals Paul Curran and Peter Longbottom are making a regular habit of winning the Peugeot Trophy two-up "25" promoted by VC Leeds on the York-Hull Road.

They won on Sunday for the third successive year in 52-43 giving them a winning margin of almost three minutes over Mike Harbottle and Paul Chapman (GS Metro) who clocked 55-26, to pip Guy Cook and Nigel Smith (Chesterfield Coureurs) by just 10 seconds.

Two of Yorkshire's fastest youngsters Richard High (Leeds St. Christophers) and John Surtees (Knaresborough CC) pooled their talents to take the fastest junior award and finish fourth in 56-19.

It was an unfortunate morning for Sue Crowther (Solihull CC) who was teamed up with John Sutch Leamington Spa) but she fell off at one of the roundabouts but fortunately was not injured.
