Curran off to flying start

THORNABY cyclist Paul Curran showed in the first race of the season that he has his eyes firmly set on an Olympic gold medal this year.

In Hartlepool Cycling Club's Hurworth Burn Criterium, he and Ferryhill Wheeler, David Cook, annihilated the field by lapping them and then, continuing to drive hard, left the bunch once again.
