Paul Curran back in top form

Thornaby's Paul Curran continued his recovery to top form with a third place in the Bristol Grand Prix Star Trophy event.

Curran was in a four-man breakaway group with team-mate Alan Gornall and New Zealand Commonwealth Games riders Graeme Miller and Brian Fowler.

Miller escaped from the others before the finish with Fowler beating Curran in the sprint.

Curran is now training with the rest of the England squad in Wales before they ride the National Road Race Championships on Saturday and the 20 kilometre Sillars Trophy Race at the Cleveland Grand Prix on Sunday.
