John Gill - Daihatsu Road Race

Curran storms to superb win

THORNABY'S Paul Curran maintained his superb start to the season by winning the John Gill-Daihatsu Road Race.

The event, based on Bedale, over a 66-mile course, was won in convincing style as Curran took four of the six primes and was out on his own for the last 20 miles to the chequered flag.

Paul Blackett, another local rider, finished a creditable third.
