The Cleveland Coureurs open ten-mile promotion on the A19 course near Crathorne was won by Cliff Davison in 23mins 5secs. Second place went to John Byers of Richmond & Darlington with 23-47 from Arthur Hutchinson of Teeside Clarion, third in 24-2.
One of Stockton Wheeler's fast-improving youngsters, Paul Curran, took the juvenile award with a performance of 25-9.
